Roy Halston, a famous designer during the 1960's and 1970's saw the demise of his 'Halston' brand subsequent to his death in 1990. Renowned for his timeless and elegant take on his RTW pieces, most woman would love to own one of his masterpiece. Fast forward 2008, the brand was relaunched and with London based designer Marios Schwab now leading the brand's designs. To break into the mid-tier market, a hip diffusion line was launched in 2009, with the sole purpose of reinventing the archive pieces of the Halson design, making it current and relevant for the 21st century.

Today, with clever marketing and Carrie Bradshaw bracing the big screen with pieces after pieces of Halston's fusion line, 'Halston Heritage', we saw a resurgence of it's popularity, and the ever increasing desire on every woman's list to own one of his dresses again. A visit and call to net-a-porter.com will evidence this popularity, with all key pieces worn by SJP in the movie, all sold out and with a long waiting list!
